Organisational Structure

The Islamic Manuscript Association is governed by a ten-person Board of Directors, six of whom are elected by the membership and whose range of expertise is representative of the scope of the Association’s mission, and four of whom form the Executive Committee, which undertakes the day-to-day management of the Association. The Board has created four interest groups pertaining to the Association’s key working areas: cataloguing, conservation, digitisation, and research and publishing. Each interest group is led by a subcommittee composed of up to nine elected specialists who are professionally engaged in their field.
